The trailer for Ms. Marvel dropped a few days ago, and man, was it incredible. The most amazing part about this new superhero is the representation. Marvel has always tried to be inclusive with their characters and reach out to everyone. It has genuinely strived to break all the culture, race, and even age barriers. Iman Vellani stars as the titular character of Ms. Marvel. She is a teenage girl with a South Asian Muslim heritage. With so many different nuances to her life, it’s not hard to imagine that she has trouble fitting in. Adding to her problems, she is a superhero geek who loves to wear shirts with comic references and supes on them. Teenagers who are so heavily influenced by social media are not for the dorky, cute, and quirky looks these days.

This series looks fun and upbeat (with Blinding Lights so impressively inserted and background music), mainly focussing on the troubles and emotions and life of a teenage girl and her family dynamics. We get introduced to brand-new characters, which the creators of the series have said ties into the bigger marvel family.

Coming to the powers, some comic book fans have expressed dissatisfaction about the powers being changed from the comics. Personally, I have not read the comics, but I do a bit of beforehand research every time Marvel brings in a new character. And I can genuinely say that Marvel has never disappointed me. So, I trust the Ms. Marvel team and Kevin Feige’s vision for the whole MCU. That man is a freaking GENIUS!!! I mean, come on! Moon Knight, a dark psychological thriller, and Ms. Marvel a cheerful(I hope!) teenage story, how do they manage to do it.

More Teenagers ?

The New Kids

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is coming to an age where he won’t be called a teenager anymore. But Holy Smokes, he was good. With the animated Spider-Man feature film, Miles Morales has become a breakout sensation. Hawkeye introduced another upcoming teenager, Kate Bishop, who looks set to take up the mantle of Hawkeye. America Chavez is another teenage superhero we saw in the Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness Trailer. Maybe even Tommy and Billy from Wanda Vision(??), who knows.
Exciting times ahead for MCU and all the Marvel fans.
